Good for

  • Reading minified page source
  • Tidying email templates
  • Reviewing HTML snippets

Safe to use

Your HTML is only re-indented as text. It is never rendered or run, so scripts in your input can’t do anything.

What happens to your text

Your text is processed in your browser and kept only in this tab’s memory. It is not uploaded, saved or used for analytics.

Questions about HTML Formatter

More answers in the TextVix FAQ.

Will formatting change how my page looks?

Inline elements such as <b> and <a> stay within their lines, and <pre> and <textarea> content is untouched, so rendering is preserved in normal cases.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your text and files are never sent to a server or stored.
