JPG vs PNG: Which Should You Use?
JPG is for photos, PNG for screenshots, logos and transparency, and WebP can do both. How each format works and when to convert.
Questions about JPG to PNG
More answers in the TextVix FAQ.
Does converting JPG to PNG improve quality?
No. PNG keeps the picture exactly as it is now, but it can’t restore detail the JPG already lost. Expect a larger file.
Will the background become transparent?
No. A JPG has no transparency, so the PNG has the same solid background.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes — up to 20 images. Each is converted separately, failures are listed per file, and you can download everything as one ZIP.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Images are decoded and converted by your browser, on your device. TextVix never receives them.
