How to use Remove Special Characters

  1. Paste your text into the input box.
  2. Everything except letters, numbers and whitespace is removed.
  3. Keep basic punctuation, or list extra characters to keep — for example @ and . for email addresses.
  4. Copy or download the result.

Will accented letters like é or ü be removed?

No. TextVix recognizes letters in every script, including accented Latin letters, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese.

How do I keep certain symbols?

Type them in the “Also keep” field. For example, enter @._- to keep the characters used in email addresses.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your text and files are never sent to a server or stored.
