Headings and paragraphs are separated by a blank line; list items get bullets.

Nothing is rendered

The HTML is read as text by a small tokenizer, never by the browser’s page engine. Scripts don’t run, images and stylesheets aren’t fetched, and the content of script, style and similar elements is dropped.

Are links kept?

What about images?

Their alt text is kept, if they have any.
